ROKiT Drinks, part of ROK Stars PLC, the consumer goods and environmental technologies company, has announced its UB Real Irish Whiskey has been awarded a Gold Medal at the prestigious International Craft Spirits Competition held in Los Angeles between the 6th and 8th May.
Evaluated in a blind-tasting process by two dozen respected and influential judges and hosted by Forrest Cokely, an expert in the field of spirits, mixology and a judge at many spirits events worldwide, all brands entered for the awards are scored on a 100 point scale based on key characteristics such as appearance, taste, aromatics, flavour, mouth-feel and finish.
Commenting, Jonathan Kendrick, Chairman of ROK Stars said “Winning a gold medal at the International Craft Spirits Competition is the highest achievement as this is a blind-tasting event and, as such, is considered to be one of the most prestigious spirits competition in the world. We and our fast-growing network of distribution partners around the world are delighted because while we are very proud of our contemporary and sophisticated design and packaging of UB Real Irish Whiskey, to have our premium blend whiskey recognised for its gold medal-winning quality is fantastic.”
