ABK Beer, the fastest-growing German beer brand in the UK, win GOLD Medal and Best in Country at the World Beer Awards 2021

ABK Beer, part of ROKiT Drinks co-founded by Jonathan Kendrick and John Paul DeJoria, needs to find room in their already packed trophy cabinet to accommodate their latest Gold Medals won by ABK Edel Spezialbier at the World Beer Awards 2021.

Brewed since 1308 in the Bavarian town of Kaufbeuren, the ABK brewery was acquired by ROKiT Drinks in 2013 and has since become the fastest-growing German beer brand in the UK.

In addition to the Gold Medal, ABK Edel also won as the best Dortmunder style lager in Germany.

“We’re delighted with these latest awards which further recognises the incredible quality of our traditional Bavarian beers,” said Jonathan Kendrick, Chairman of ROKiT Drinks. “Given that our beers were not exported more than 20 miles from Kaufbeuren in all of its 700 year history until we acquired this incredibly historic brewery, it’s wonderful to see our award-winning beers available internationally.”

“Now on sale in some 2,500 pubs, clubs and restaurants as well as through major retailers such the Co-op across the UK, we’re so proud to keep winning awards like this which recognise the supreme quality of our beers. No wonder ABK Beer is growing so fast when to win Best in Country, particularly in Germany, is no mean feat.” Added Graham Higgins, CEO.
